Why it's on my list
If you already own a gravity system of any age, replace the elements and do not rely on unknown history. These fit Berkey-style housings, which keeps the cost down while the performance stays high.

What it is
Black carbon filter elements for the Boroux systems and a direct replacement for Black Berkey elements in other gravity filters. A pair runs about 12 months depending on water and use. Reinforced stem (Stem Saver) so they survive cleaning and refitting. WQA certified.
