Can I use vinegar as deodorant?

Yes. Vinegar's acetic acid creates an acidic environment that inhibits the bacteria behind body odor. Diluted with water and dabbed on clean skin, it dries without leaving a vinegar smell.

What's the recipe for a vinegar fabric freshener spray?

It is white vinegar diluted with water in a spray bottle, misted lightly onto fabric and left to air dry. The vinegar smell disappears as it dries, leaving the fabric odor-free.

How do I freshen clothes when I can't do laundry?

Mist the fabric lightly with diluted white vinegar and let it air dry, ideally in sunlight. The acid inhibits the odor-causing bacteria, and the vinegar smell fades as the fabric dries.

How long does vinegar spray last once mixed?

The premixed spray keeps well in a sealed bottle, though not as long as straight vinegar, which lasts indefinitely when sealed. Use glass or HDPE containers, never metal, since vinegar corrodes metal.

Can I put vinegar directly on my skin?

Diluted household vinegar is generally safe on skin, but keep it off broken skin, open wounds, and freshly shaved areas, and away from your eyes. Test a small patch first.
