BALLISTA BAT Reverse Crossbow
A 340 fps crossbow that fits in a 30 liter pack and cocks with under 50 pounds of pull
Big ticket
Why it's on my list
A crossbow takes game and defends the place without a report, and this one packs: 16 by 7.5 inches, about 3 pounds, and it rides inside the 30 liter pack from my bug-out bag page instead of hanging off it. The built-in cocking assist keeps the pull under 50 pounds, reloading is about two seconds, and the rail takes the same optics as the rifles on my two-rifle page.

What it is
A reverse-draw compound crossbow that fits in a regular 30 liter backpack: 16 by 7.5 inches, about 3 pounds, 150 pound limbs, up to 340 fps with a heavy bolt and broadhead. A built-in self-retracting cocking assist keeps the pull under 50 pounds through the whole stroke, reloading takes about two seconds, and a Picatinny rail takes a scope, red dot or laser. Sold for medium and large game, bowfishing and defense.
